Podcast 65. I called the class Mindmaster. The topic is how to build a bulletproof mindset, and I want to be plain about what I am not doing.
I am not talking about the law of attraction. I am not telling you to think a result into existence. I want practical work. Things you can do on a Tuesday that change how you talk to yourself when the set goes badly.
Men will train a muscle, a language, a recipe. They will not train the voice in their head, mostly because they do not notice it is trainable. Working on your mindset is itself a mindset. If you treat it as a personality you either have or lack, you will never practise it.
On an ordinary day I will take the man with a strong mind and weak technique over the man with clever lines and a mind that folds after one blowout. Mind over matter is not a poster. It is what happens when the skill gap is normal and the difference is whether you stay in the work. If two men are both already excellent, mindset still separates them. If the skill gap is huge, mindset will not paper over it. In the range where most men actually live, the mind is the lever.
A strong mind also opens parts of your ability that stay shut when you are rattled. You already have more skill than you can use on a bad day. The training is how you get access to it when you need it.
This episode is that class. Implementable drills for self-talk and for staying steady while the comments, the rejections, and your own excuses are flying. The cover is the posture. Steady. The noise does not get a vote.
