This is the frustration episode, and it is not the older piece about the flywheel of mediocrity. Different recording, different argument. Here the loop starts with wishful thinking.

You inflate what a month of light effort is supposed to produce. Hot women, a new social life, a feeling of being the man, on the back of a few approaches and a lot of videos. When reality comes back smaller than the picture, you get frustrated. Frustration makes the next session worse. The worse session confirms the story that the work is hopeless. Then you either quit or you double down on the fantasy instead of on the volume. That is the loop.

The number in the title, 99.7 percent, is the hook. The mechanism is the expectation. Men are not frustrated because dating is hard. They are frustrated because they expected a result their behaviour could not produce, and they experienced the gap as an insult.

Crack it by shrinking the expectation to the size of the work you will actually do this week. Count approaches. Count dates. Stop counting the life you were going to have by Friday. A true score is less exciting and it does not feed the loop. Wishful thinking feels like motivation until the week ends.

The cover is a man stuck next to a silent phone because that is where the loop lives after you leave the street. You refresh. You narrate. You get angrier. Put the expectation back on the work. The episode is the teardown of how the inflation starts.
