In this May 2023 recording, I make a simple argument about summer plans: start preparing before the holiday arrives. Waiting until you reach the destination leaves you trying to build habits and confidence at the same time as finding your way around somewhere new.

I begin with the practical questions. Where are you going? What sort of environment will you be meeting people in? What will make it possible to continue a conversation as a date?

Give the preparation a direction

The episode discusses daygame basics and how they connect to an instant date. I refer to the Straight Line Sex System, The Chemistry of Seduction and SDL King as parts of that learning background.

The point is to have a process you can practise before the trip. Reading and watching examples should give your next outing a purpose, rather than becoming another way to postpone it.

Start this week

I suggest building up activity gradually: go out this week and do more the next, instead of leaving everything until a few weeks later. That creates opportunities to find out what you are comfortable doing and what still needs work.

Location also forms part of the discussion. I talk about larger cities and the number of opportunities they can offer, alongside the persistence needed to meet people. The recording is a summer preparation talk, with product references and travel ideas from 2023.

Watch it for the planning approach: choose the setting, learn the basics and make preparation part of the weeks before you leave. More discussions of practice and instant dating are available in the podcast archive.
