Do you want to master seduction at the highest level, or do you want a simple system you can follow to get laid with attractive women?
Be honest about that. A lot of guys want the second thing, then spend their time collecting enough material to spend the rest of their lives studying the first.
That is why I made the Straight Line Sex System. I reduced my original Straight Line Seduction System to the core principles, lines and moves needed to put it into practice. Very few things to learn. The same things repeated. The purpose is to create abundance with women and sex without making you master every corner case of seduction first.
Understanding a pattern takes practice
The Straight Line Seduction System is more pattern-based. A pattern gives you a way of doing something. You can apply it in different situations and come up with different routines that fit it.
That makes it versatile. It also means you have to practise enough to apply the pattern when something happens in front of you. Understanding it while reading a book is one thing. Being able to use it with a woman you find attractive is where you discover how well you actually learned it.
The original system also has routines. It is still direct and efficient. You don't need elaborate assumption stacks or twenty minutes of conversation going nowhere. But to use its full range, you need to get good at more skills and recognise when to use them.
Teaching made that distinction clear to me. I could explain the system in simple terms. That didn't mean a student could apply all of it easily. In the Straight Line Sex System book, I explain why I went back and reduced it further.
Fewer routines, repeated
The Straight Line Sex System is routine-based. More importantly, it has very few routines, and those routines apply across ordinary situations. You aren't learning a completely different system for daygame, nightgame and meeting someone on a train.
The goal is to make the learning and the application simple. You don't need to invent a clever new line every time she says something. You learn the small set of lines and moves, then practise using them.
That is the promise of the book. Get laid. Keep it simple. If all you want is a practical recipe to execute, making the recipe more elaborate doesn't do you any favours.
There is a trade-off. The original Straight Line Seduction System gives an experienced seducer more ways to handle unusual situations. That range is useful when you know how to use it. Before you have that skill, it can leave you standing there wondering which thing you are supposed to do next.
Control gives you tranquility
That uncertainty is emotionally exhausting. Did you do the wrong thing? Did you do the right thing badly? Was she interested at all? You can spend the rest of the evening going around in circles.
One of the core mindsets in the Straight Line Sex System is control. Focus on what you control. You control whether you approach, whether you learn the material and whether you apply it. You don't control her response, whether she has a boyfriend or whether she wants to continue the interaction.
Keep those separate. Her decision belongs to her. If she isn't interested, leave it there. Treat women with respect and dignity, as I say in the book.
Reducing the system also helps you judge your own execution. With a small set of routines, you have fewer things to examine. Did you actually do what you set out to do? That is a more useful question than trying to analyse every possible thing you could have said.
Performance and outcome are different
I make this distinction in the podcast because it causes so much confusion. A result doesn't tell you everything about the quality of the performance. A beginner can get lucky. A skilled guy can meet a woman who simply isn't interested.
With a complicated model, you have more uncertainty about whether you applied it correctly. With a simple model, it is easier to learn the required actions and recognise your own mistakes. That is what I mean by performance certainty.
The Straight Line Sex System puts more emphasis on process and repetition. You practise the same limited material across interactions instead of treating every response as a reason to invent a new system. The aim is consistent execution and more predictable results over time.
Which system should you learn?
If you're new, I would start with the Straight Line Sex System. If you're experienced but want a simpler way to get results without continually rehearsing more material, it serves that purpose too.
For a guy who already has a substantial amount of experience and wants to master the wider range, the original Straight Line Seduction System gives him more to work with. The Close lays out that philosophy, SDL King develops the application, and The Chemistry of Seduction goes into the routines, moves and patterns.
And if you've studied that material but feel confused about what you're doing, simplify. Go back to the Straight Line Sex System. Get comfortable applying the core before adding more complexity.
Choose according to what you actually want to achieve. If you want the simplest practical system, stop collecting alternatives. Learn the few things it asks you to do, go out and practise them.
