I developed the Straight Line Seduction System because the way I was being told to meet women felt unnecessarily complicated. Long conversations. Elaborate stories. Numbers collected as though the number itself was the result.

I wanted to be clear about why I approached, find out whether the attraction was mutual and invite the woman to spend time with me. Simple, efficient and exciting. That was the direction I wanted my own dating life to take.

This episode explains the differences as I saw them. It is my argument for the system, rather than a neutral survey of every other approach.

The ingredients still matter

Attraction, comfort and seduction are useful ideas. My objection isn't that comfort has no place. It is the assumption that you must complete a long, fixed sequence before anything else can happen.

I describe Attraction-Escalation, AE, and Comfort-Trust, CT, as elements you mix at different intensities. That is why The Chemistry of Seduction uses the cocktail analogy. The proportions change with the interaction. You don't pour in twenty minutes of background information simply because a diagram says you are in the comfort section.

A direct opener makes your interest clear. Hustlerisms continue that expression of attraction. Then you listen to the response and give enough of yourself for an actual conversation to develop.

The woman should understand that you find her attractive. You shouldn't need to hide that behind a fictitious reason for stopping her.

Repeat what you can deliver well

I favour short material you can practise. Constantly inventing new assumptions can leave a beginner wondering what to say instead of engaging with the person in front of him.

Repetition gives you familiarity with the delivery. It doesn't require you to become mechanical. A comedian works on material repeatedly because delivery improves with experience. Likewise, knowing a small amount of useful material can free you to pay more attention to what is happening.

The aim is to have less going on in your head, not to talk at every woman without listening.

Ask for the meeting you want

My close sequence gives priority to an instant date when the interest and circumstances support one. A meeting later that day may also make sense. Contact details are a fallback for arranging something real, rather than a prize you collect before going home.

If she isn't interested or available and there is no workable alternative, move on. You don't need to turn a vague possibility into weeks of messages.

I use texting principally for logistics. When and where will you meet? A conversation in person is where I prefer to find out whether we connect. Endless pinging with funny pictures was never the life I wanted.

Value your time and hers

A clear approach can reveal incompatibility earlier. That is useful. It saves you pretending to want friendship while hoping it will turn into something else, and it gives her room to decide whether she wants the same kind of interaction.

Explicit Frame Control is part of how I describe my style in The Close, including the Male Leader Frame and Pure Connection Frame. It concerns the way I communicate and propose direction. It doesn't override a woman's preferences or her ability to say no.

Look at where your own process becomes vague. If you want a date, make a date invitation. If you are attracted, communicate it appropriately. Then accept the information you receive. You can waste a great deal of time trying to make uncertainty feel like progress.
