He was single again after a long relationship, over forty and wondering whether the best part of his dating life was already behind him. So he did what a lot of men do. He watched hours of videos.
The videos kept coming. The results did not.
In this 2019 conversation, a member of the Hustler Elite Remote programme explains what changed when he started applying the material. He remains anonymous because of his work. His story is his experience, and the interesting part is the change in behaviour behind it.
From approaching to having a game plan
The first change was action. He stopped treating information as the activity itself and began meeting women.
That sounds obvious until you look at how much time people spend preparing to do something they never do. Another video can feel productive without requiring you to risk anything.
But approaching was not the whole answer. He described his early conversations as attempts followed by hope. He could start talking. He did not have a clear idea of where the conversation was going.
The Close and The Chemistry of Seduction gave him a structure he could practise. He particularly identified the Male Leader Frame as a missing piece. Instead of hiding behind polite chatter, he began communicating the kind of relationship dynamic he enjoyed and finding out whether the woman liked it too.
That preference will not suit everybody. Finding that out is useful. You do not need every woman to want what you want.
Keep the promise of your approach
We discussed a mistake I also saw with the men training in London. They approached directly, showed clear interest and created the expectation of an exciting interaction. Then they sat down and conducted a job interview.
How long have you lived here? What do you do? Do you like the weather?
There is nothing inherently wrong with those questions. The problem is the sudden retreat. The man who seemed comfortable expressing attraction has disappeared, replaced by someone trying very hard to be harmless.
My comparison was a roller coaster turning into a little train. She agreed to one experience and found herself having another.
The remote student recognised that pattern in his old behaviour. He said the newer conversations felt more interesting to him as well. He was talking about subjects he actually wanted to discuss instead of trying to earn permission through enough minutes of small talk.
Experience changes the argument in your head
His doubts about age did not vanish completely. He was quite clear about that. What changed was his willingness to act while the doubts were present.
He also described the growing discomfort of walking away without introducing himself. At first, staying comfortable had looked preferable. Later, he disliked the missed opportunity more than the awkwardness of an approach.
That is a meaningful shift. You no longer need to win an elaborate philosophical argument with yourself before saying hello.
Successive experiences gave him something more concrete than reassurance. He had evidence from his own life that his earlier assumptions were incomplete.
The student still has to do the work
Remote coaching worked for him because he applied the concepts, returned with experience and kept practising. My physical presence could not have done that part for him.
We also discussed his increasing willingness to end a date when there was no connection. Previously, being with an attractive woman had felt like an opportunity he must preserve at any cost. Now he was asking whether he actually enjoyed the interaction.
That is a better position to operate from. Have a direction, express your preferences and pay attention to hers. Learn from what happens when you do it.
The books were useful because he took them into his life. Reading them was the beginning of the work.
